Scholarships from Gravity Lending

Gravity Lending strives to contribute to our community. One of the ways we do this is by empowering prospective college students with scholarship options. Scholarships from Gravity Lending are accessible for the maximum amount of college students. These scholarships provide for students across multiple disciplines, including Business, Finance, and Marketing. Applicants who meet the requirements are awarded $600 for school expenses, paid out once a year.

The Wildhorse Business Scholarship

The Wildhorse Business Scholarship through the Gravity Lending Foundation was created to provide career-minded individuals the opportunity to develop professionally, civically, and socially. Applicants in Business, Finance, or Technology can use these funds to enrich their education and contribute to their communities.

Candidate Eligibility

To apply for this scholarship, candidate must:

  1. Be a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident of the United States.
  2. Be a full-time undergraduate student currently attending an accredited two-year or four-year college or university in the continental United States, Alaska, or Hawaii. Running start students are eligible if they are full-time.
  3. Have a grade point average of 3.3 or better (on a 4.0 scale).
  4. Major in Business, Finance, or Technology.
  5. Demonstrate financial need.
  6. Complete an application with supplemental documents.

Scholarship Requirements

Candidates must write an essay about business development and submit the essay with the application. The essay must be 300-400 words and include responses to the following questions:

  • Business decision making: how do education and personal skills affect our final decisions?
  • What is the importance of advertising in any business?
  • How do business buyers make decisions in the buying process?

Documentation Requirements

Candidates must submit three pieces of documentation along with their application. These must include:

  1. One letter of recommendation
  2. An official school transcript
  3. A one-page essay on business development

The Wildhorse Marketing Scholarship

The Wildhorse Marketing Scholarship through the Gravity Lending Foundation was created to provide students in Marketing with valuable financial aid. This variation of the Wildhorse Scholarship serves those seeking undergraduate degrees in Marketing specifically—rather than a business degree.

Candidate Eligibility

To apply for this scholarship, candidate must:

  1. Be a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident of the United States.
  2. Be a full-time undergraduate student currently attending an accredited two-year or four-year college or university in the continental United States, Alaska, or Hawaii. Running start students are eligible if they are full-time.

The Minorities in Business Scholarship

The Minorites in Business Scholarship through the Gravity Lending Foundation was established with historical inadequacies in mind. We recognize that repairing the damage due to systemic racism starts with empowering others. This scholarship represents the beginning of a determined effort to repair the damage of injustice and discrimination.

Candidate Eligibility

To apply for this scholarship, candidate must:

  1. Identify as African American/Black, Hispanic/Latino, or Native American (including American Indian/Alaska Native or Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander).
  2. Be a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident of the United States.
  3. Be a full-time undergraduate student currently attending an accredited two-year or four-year college or university in the continental United States, Alaska, or Hawaii. Running start students are eligible if they are full-time.
